Collaborate on the design, verification, and integration of high‑performance digital ASICs and FPGAs for mission‑critical signal‑processing and information‑assurance systems within the Product Enabling Technologies team.
Key Responsibilities- Capture requirements and develop ASIC/FPGA digital architecture using RTL.
- Design, simulate, and perform timing closure on RTL using VHDL or Verilog.
- Develop test benches and perform verification of RTL blocks.
- Integrate designs into system‑level solutions and validate functionality.
- Recommend and implement new tools and best practices to improve the group’s design flow.
- Contribute engineering estimates for new program pursuits.
- Provide technical leadership by breaking down work, planning activities, and reporting status to project teams.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in digital ASIC/FPGA design, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience.
- Proficient in RTL coding and simulation (VHDL/Verilog/ System Verilog).
- Strong digital circuit architecture skills, including resource tradeoffs and timing analysis.
- Experience with ASIC/FPGA synthesis and simulation tools such as Modelsim, Synplify, Quartus, Vivado, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of revision control systems (Git, Subversion).
- Valid, transferable U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Experience with chip‑level verification techniques (constrained random, functional coverage, System Verilog).
- Hands‑on FPGA/ASIC lab validation with advanced equipment.
- Experience with Design for Test (DFT), manufacturability issues, and Unix/scripting (C/C++/Perl).
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across diverse teams in a matrixed environment.
