Position OverviewCollins Aerospace’s Mission Systems Secure Subsystems Department seeks an experienced Systems Engineering professional to design, develop and support military communication solutions that connect militaries around the world.
Key Responsibilities- Perform system analysis, architecture, and design at all levels of the total system product, including concept, design, fabrication, modeling, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
- Conduct functional analysis, trade studies, requirement allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Provide analyses for the decomposition of customer specifications and system-level requirements into subsystem and part requirements, and develop verification criteria and plans.
- Technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total system solutions.
- Participate in bid and proposal efforts and travel up to 10%.
Gain technical leadership experience, mentorship opportunities, and exposure to influential individuals within Mission Systems. Learn to work with security hardened products, certification specialists, and cross-functional integrated product teams.
Qualifications- Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 5 years of experience.
- Active and existing Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- Experience with the systems development process, including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, verification/validation, and transition to production.
- Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework.
- Exceptional communication skills and experience presenting technical data to program management and executive leadership.
- Experience with cryptographic hardware architecture/design, network encryption specifications, and test methodologies.
- Experience with tools such as DOORS, CAMEO or similar; software languages such as Rust and Python.
- Experience with hardware and software integration, validation & verification testing, and qualification testing.

Salary range: $118,300 – $224,900 USD.
