Responsibilities- Optical design and tolerancing
- Optics requirement generation and procurement
- Creating alignment and test plans
- Hands‑on assembly, integration, and test of optical systems
- Optical design and analysis using Zemax, CodeV, FRED, and/or Matlab
- Derivation of optical requirements and generation of drawing documentation
- Procurement of custom optics and oversight of suppliers
- Assembly and alignment of optical sensors in cleanroom environments
- Optical testing and troubleshooting in laboratory and field settings
- Work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision as project demands
- Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
- Minimum of 5years of relevant experience in optical engineering
- Proficiency with optical design/analysis and CAD software
- Experience with optical alignment and measurement equipment
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance
- Experience with optical design in Zemax or CodeV
- Experience performing straylight analysis in FRED
- Experience fabricating optics and coatings
- Experience building and aligning optical assemblies
- Experience designing opto‑mechanical hardware in CREO
- Advanced degree in Optics, Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics
