Principal RF Design Engineer; Onsite

Job Overview

Onsite position located at El Segundo, CA. U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance (Secret). Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with STEM degree or 5 years with an advanced degree.

• Design and development of GPS receivers.
• Design of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signals.
• Lab work for component characterization, module verification, and integration.
• Test and handle sensitive RF hardware.
• Schematic capture and RF routing.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams (power, digital, mechanical).

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 5 years experience.
• Requirement to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Experience with RF design and fabrication.
• Experience with RF test and troubleshooting.
• Experience with simulation of RF products.
• Proficiency with tools such as Mentor DX Designer, HFSS, System Vue/Genesys, or ADS.

• Mentorship or apprenticeship experience.
• Technical oversight responsibilities for less‑senior engineers.
• Experience working across domains on complex projects.
• Architecting and requirements definition for complex RF products.
• Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints.
• Yield and margin analysis, cascade analysis, or frequency planning.
• Filter design and fabrication.
• Programming experience (Matlab or Python).

USD 118,300 – 224,900 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
