Senior or Lead Integrated Planning & Scheduling Specialist (Level 4 or
5)
Company:
Boeing Defence Space & Security (BDS) – Space Communication Programs (SCP) team, El Segundo, CA.
This role requires a leader who understands the importance of user experience in all aspects of government program schedules, including production, development, agile software, and Project Server portfolio management to achieve organizational goals. The selected individual will develop proposal plans and schedules, baseline execution schedules, maintain in‑work schedules, perform critical path analysis and what‑if planning, and support the delivery of Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) Format6 deliverables.
PositionResponsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for the IPS team in developing, integrating, and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and reporting to the Program Management team.
- Coordinate with Integrated Product Team Leads to align and integrate IMS with other key program plans (IMP, Master Phasing Plan, Critical Path Analysis, High‑Level Flow).
- Ensure schedule compliance, assess schedule risk, identify opportunities such as schedule margin planning.
- Provide robust, actionable performance reporting from the IMS to support program management decision‑making.
- Lead integration of supplier and partner plans and schedules into the IMS for collaborative execution.
- Generate prospective schedule performance analyses, recovery/alternate scenario planning, and improve schedule visibility and visualization.
- Support reviews and brief senior leadership and customers.
- Work 100% onsite at the El Segundo, CA location.
- Obtain and maintain U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance post‑start.
- 5+ years of Project or Program management experience.
- 5+ years of experience developing and integrating program‑level master schedules.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Leadership experience, either leading a team or a project.
- Proficiency with integrated scheduling tools such as Open Plan Professional, Microsoft Project Professional, Enterprise Project Management, or a similar tool.
- Strong communication skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
- Experience with OPP scheduling tool.
- Analytical experience with large data sets (advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, and/or Microsoft Power BI).
- Relocation:
Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates; relocation based on eligibility for external candidates. - Travel:
Up to 15% of the time required. - Shift: 1st Shift.
- Security Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required; interim and/or final Top Secret/SCI clearance post‑start required.
- Compensation:
Level4 (Senior) – $126,650–$171,350;
