Raytheon Digital Design Hardware Electrical Engineer ; Onsite

What You Will Do

• Circuit analysis, circuit simulation, design documentation maintenance, trade assessments for obsolescence resolution, troubleshooting and resolution of hardware performance issues and hardware integration, test and verification.
• Develop firmware for FPGA-based systems.
• Support FPGA prototyping, lab bring-up, and testing.
• Integration and test of digital components and modules.
• Work as part of a team to analyze Hardware/Firmware test requirements/specifications to determine hardware and firmware requirements.
• Develop solutions to test issues and develop productivity and efficiency enhancements.
• Interact with test technicians, factory facilitators, operations managers, other engineers, Quality Assurance and Reliability personnel.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Coursework or academic project experience in circuit design fundamentals, digital logic design, integrated circuit/microelectronics design, digital signal processing (DSP) knowledge, FPGA coursework/projects.
• Familiarity with hardware description languages:
  Verilog, System Verilog, VHDL.
• ABET accreditation preferred.
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
• Internship experience in hardware engineering.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through school or extracurricular projects.
• Experience using FPGA development boards or lab equipment.
• Understanding of airborne or ruggedized hardware environments.
• Hands‑on lab/debug experience.
• Ability to apply basic electrical engineering principles and general knowledge of related disciplines.
• Familiarity with industry tools such as Xilinx/AMD Vivado, Intel Quartus, Model Sim or Questa, MATLAB/Simulink.
• Exposure to radar systems, digital signal processing, high‑speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, JESD
  204, DDR), embedded processors or SoC architecture, Xilinx FPGAs.
• Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, DMM.
