Network Modelling and Simulation Engineer - MTS​/Sr MTS

** We are looking to hire a Network Modeling and Simulation Engineer
** to provide support in the Network/Systems Department (NSD) to lead and perform trade studies, analyses, and simulations of space network architectures. Moreover, your role will provide critical insight and feedback to government customers to optimize the overall communications performance of current and future terrestrial, satellite, launch vehicle, and ground-based systems. Additionally, your deliveries will help inform acquisition decisions to enhance national security.
****** What You’ll Be Doing
****** Participate in multi-disciplinary engineering teams in development and analysis of future network architectures and requirements

* Minimum Requirements:

* • Minimum of 1 year of experience in data analysis, OSI and TCP/IP models and in network design, analysis, and modeling & simulation.
• Applied research in analytical, simulation, and/or experimental skills.
• Experience in software development in Python or C/C++.
• Ability to present results effectively in briefings and technical reports.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. Government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
* In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, OSI and TCP/IP models and in network design, analysis, and modeling & simulation.
• Familiarity with network testbed development and/or experience with network emulation/simulation
• Knowledge of inter-satellite cross-links and laser optical communication technologies
• Relevant experience with military and commercial satellite communication systems and network engineering
