Job SummaryAs a Manager of Manufacturing Engineering, you will inspire, develop, coordinate, and lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers supporting manufacturing and supply chain. Your responsibilities include leveraging design for manufacturability and continuous improvement to deliver space‑grade harnessing hardware at a high rate and low cost while ensuring personnel safety and product reliability.
Position Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of support for the Manufacturing Engineering team.
- Act as the liaison between design engineering, programs, manufacturing, and supply chain.
- Leverage cross‑functional relationships to identify improvement opportunities, align on priorities, and execute initiatives that reduce lead time and labor hours.
- Use data to establish, monitor, and improve manufacturing and supply chain metrics encompassing safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Enable manufacturing and supply chain autonomy by challenging requirements, simplifying work processes, and automating actions.
- Act as the technical subject‑matter expert for training requirements and capability expansion throughout manufacturing and supply chain.
- Troubleshoot and identify root causes of issues in manufacturing and supply chain processes, then implement permanent corrective actions.
- Partner with peer engineering teams to implement design changes in response to manufacturing and supply chain issues, customer challenges, new vehicle architectures, and standardization initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- At least one year of leadership experience (team leader, manager, or formal project/program management) or completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
- 3+ years in manufacturing and/or supply chain.
- Experience delivering presentations to management.
- Proficiency in data aggregation, visualization, and analysis (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power
BI). - Competence with CAD software (Solidworks/Altium preferred).
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience in the aerospace industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated collaboration with peers.
- 5+ years in manufacturing and/or supply chain.
- 5+ years in engineering.
- 2+ years leading a team of engineers.
- Familiarity with harness design on vehicles, products, and non‑flight hardware.
- Demonstrated ability to scale manufacturing rate capability.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. citizenship is mandatory; clearance may be required at Top Secret/SCI level post‑start.
Total RewardsPay range for Level K: $151,300 – $222,500.
