Your Role
As a Principal Engineer Technical Marketing Lead in our Customer Collaboration and Technical Marketing team, you work hand‑in‑hand with our customers, enabling them to transform our products into cutting‑edge designs while building long‑lasting partnerships that thrive on success.
Key responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of Product Definition and Power Application Engineers focused on motor control solutions for power tools, appliances, drones, and robotics.
- Drive the Product Line strategy to enable business growth, strengthen market presence, and secure design wins in key application segments related to motor control and BMS systems.
- Act as the key interface between management and the engineering team, ensuring clear communication of objectives, priorities, responsibilities, and execution plans.
- Lead and coordinate multi‑regional teams across the USA (El Segundo) and China (Shenzhen), fostering strong collaboration, alignment, and knowledge sharing across locations and functions.
- Represent the team and product line in customer engagements, technical workshops, industry events, and conferences, promoting our motor control expertise and solution portfolio.
- Serve as the primary technical and strategic interface to key customers in the region, leading critical engagements and supporting business development and design‑in activities.
- Define and drive a global lab support strategy, ensuring effective collaboration, technical support, and knowledge exchange across regions to accelerate customer support and internal development.
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field (M.Sc. or Ph.D. preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior technical role and solid expertise in motor drives topologies, power MOSFETs, and system‑level power design.
- Strong understanding of motor control power architectures (e.g., power tools, appliances, and robotic systems).
- Experience in product definition, application engineering, or system architecture within the semiconductor industry.
- Hands‑on experience in customer‑facing roles.
- Exposure to cross‑regional collaboration and global project execution.
- Ability to lead cross‑regional teams and work effectively across cultures, including exposure to Asia markets.
- Willingness to travel across the US and Asia on a quarterly basis.
