The ISMA Senior Engineer supports multiple IRADs, CR&Ds, and programs in both air and space domains as either an individual contributor and/or a technical lead overseeing other ISMA engineers. Our teams develop, analyze, and grade flexible integration solutions across all product areas (sensors, effectors, command and control, logistics, and operations), developing tools and methods to evaluate campaign, mission, and system level analysis and visualizations based on customer requirements.
WhatYou Will Do
- Support multiple IRADs, CR&Ds, and programs in both air and space domains as part of a team of ISMA engineers.
- Develop and integrate variable‑fidelity computer models and simulations that capture system and system‑of‑systems effects in complex threat environments, generating virtual and analytical solutions to identify technology gaps, demonstrate operational benefits of new mission concepts (e.g., Manned‑Unmanned Teaming), develop requirements, test systems, and train operators.
- Evaluate end‑to‑end system needs to discover system interfaces and data connectivity requirements across the kill‑chain (e.g., ensuring sensors can “talk to” shooters).
- Model system and mission kill chains (e.g., intercepting a threatening ballistic missile) using tools such as Government, Commercial, and Raytheon simulations (e.g., AFSIM, STK).
- Master’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computing Engineering.
- Coursework related to radar (RF), electro‑optical (EO), or infrared (IR) sensing systems.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB.
- Experience with Military Operations Analysis.
- Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
- Experience with numerical optimization techniques, analysis of alternatives, or design of experiments.
- Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
- Experience providing briefs and presentations to U.S. government customers.
- Experience with AFSIM.
- Active Top–Secret clearance.
- Active SCI clearance.
- Experience with ESAMS.
- Salary range: $75,800 – $144,200.
- Relocation eligible.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
- Potential eligibility for annual short‑term and/or long‑term incentive compensation programs.
