Job Summary

You lead as a Space Mission Program Manager at Millennium Space Systems, connecting with the customer, directing and coordinating internal and external engineering, manufacturing, and test activities. You deliver high‑performance space systems that meet stringent government and commercial requirements on time and within budget. You may lead programs in missile warning and defense, communications, advanced space, or intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and potentially first‑of‑its‑kind systems or constellations in production.

This role supports national needs and contributes to cutting‑edge space technology.

Position Responsibilities
  • Ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery of projects.
  • Maintain schedules, risk lists, procurement plans, subcontract management plans, internal manpower plans, and budgets.
  • Report regularly to the Millennium Executive team and to the customer.
  • Track all internal and external deliverables, prepare and present formal and informal design and progress reviews.
  • Work closely with Systems Engineers and Responsible Engineering Authorities to ensure systems meet all requirements and milestones while staying within budgetary constraints.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 10+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master’s plus 8 years).
  • Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination (e.g., Master’s plus 13 years), for level 5.
  • Five years’ experience in engineering or equivalent developing high‑complexity systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance; post‑start clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with rapid development projects.
  • Experience working with U.S. Government customers.
  • Proven ability to deliver on‑time, on‑budget.
  • Concept‑to‑launch experience on satellite missions.
  • Experience with cost‑constrained and budget‑constrained space programs.
  • Experience in aerospace environments other than traditional large prime contractors.
  • Experience with Intelligence Community and Department of Defense customer communities and project management practices.
  • Experience with supply chain, manufacturing, and lower‑tier suppliers.
  • Active U.S. security clearance.

Total Rewards

Pay is based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations.

Pay Range
  • Level 4: $105,000 – $187,000
  • Level 5: $129,000 – $230,000
Security Clearance

This position requires a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. government requires U.S. citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance post‑start is required. Applicants must be willing to apply for and maintain this clearance.
