TOW2 Principal Field Engineer
Raytheon Field Engineering is looking for a TOW2 Principal Field Engineer.
What You Will Do- Apply strong technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex hardware and system issues.
- Troubleshoots Circuit Card Assemblies by identifying faults, analyzing failure modes, and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Interprets and utilizes electrical schematics to support system diagnostics, component-level analysis, and repair activities.
- Performs precision soldering on electronic components and Circuit Card Assemblies, ensuring reliable connections, adherence to workmanship standards, and high-quality rework or repair outcomes.
- Focus on and commitment to high quality work.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience troubleshooting Circuit Card Assemblies, including identifying faults and performing component-level diagnostics.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics to support analysis, repair, and system-level troubleshooting.
- Experience performing precision soldering on electronic components and Circuit Card Assemblies in accordance with industry workmanship standards.
- A strong technical background with the ability to apply engineering principles in practical troubleshooting scenarios.
- Experience working with the Tube-Launched, Optically Tracked, Wire-Guided (TOW2) missile system.
- Active duty or reserve military experience is desirable but not required. Experience working in the field, independently as a Field Service Engineer or representative a plus.
- Relevant experience includes military experience on similar complex missile systems equipment.
- Excellent written and oral skills.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSACAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
