PGS Worldwide is seeking a Tool Engineer in El Segundo, California for a contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This onsite position supports the Tool Design department and is responsible for designing assembly and fabrication tooling used in production and experimental environments. The role requires collaboration in a fast-paced manufacturing setting while developing tooling solutions that meet performance, accessibility, mobility, and cost requirements.

• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM-related field
• Experience in engineering, design, tooling, fabrication, or a manufacturing/production environment
• Experience utilizing Siemens NX, CATIA, or other 3D CAD systems
• Experience with project management
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
• Experience with aerospace tooling
• Experience working with SAP
• Experience establishing production assembly lines or cost centers

• Design industrial machinery and equipment, tools, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and machine attachments for production and experimental applications
• Develop assembly and fabrication tooling solutions that support manufacturing operations
• Consider accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements when creating tooling designs
• Utilize 3D CAD software to create and modify tooling designs
• Support tooling projects from concept through implementation
• Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to support operational needs
