Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking Associate or Mid-level DSP Systems Engineers to join the Space and Launch Engineering team in El Segundo, California
, to design and develop state-of-the-art space-based communication systems for commercial, civil, and national security programs. You will be part of a highly-motivated team that works with domestic and international customers on the latest satellite systems. Projects typically span the unit life cycle, from internal trades, concept studies and system definition, to satellite unit development and test.
- Design and develop next-generation RF and digital satellite communication systems.
- Develop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point digital signal processing architectures.
- Allocate, define, and verify requirements and interfaces in the development of communication digital payloads.
- Develop performance and link budgets.
- Conduct performance analysis of signal processing models.
- Assist with conducting trade studies.
- Develop prototype demonstrations on flight-like communication subsystem testbeds.
- Support unit-level integration and performance simulations.
- Support ASIC and FPGA level system design and verification.
- Support hardware procurement, design reviews, and unit sell-offs.
This position is expected to be 100 % onsite in El Segundo, CA.
Essential Qualifications- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance; US Citizenship is required. Final US Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 1+ year of experience with signal processing or image processing.
- 1+ year of experience with electronic systems engineering.
- Master’s degree or similar in signal processing or algorithm development.
- Experience developing algorithms for hardware implementation on ASICs or FPGAs.
- Background in digital signal processing classes, projects, or work experience.
- Simulink experience;
Python, C++, or other languages acceptable. - Substantial involvement or leadership in group-oriented projects.
- Experience in verification planning and applying theoretical knowledge to real-world problems.
- Level 2 (Associate): typically 2+ years related work experience or equivalent.
- Level 3 (Mid-Level): typically 5+ years related work experience or equivalent.
Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process.

Compensation & BenefitsBase pay and variable compensation vary by experience, qualifications, market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range (Associate – Level
2): $98,600 – $133,400.
Summary Pay Range (Mid-Level – Level
3): $119,850 – $162,150.
