Project Engineer I (Civil)

Under the supervision of the Principal, design the structure of residential and commercial buildings, including single family residences and multi‑family, mixed‑use, and commercial projects. Consult with other engineers on project objectives, design specifications, project details, and other project‑specific issues and work with other engineers and drafters to draft designs for new buildings as well as renovations and seismic strengthening for existing buildings.

Prepare sketches, drawings, and 3D modeling using AutoCAD and Revit and prepare calculations and design specifications using software including ETABS, Safe, SAP, Enercalc, and Adapt. Draft structural design documents. Submit structural designs to senior engineers for review to ensure compliance with engineering plans, specifications, quality control standards, and regulatory standards. Assist in conducting site inspections and perform construction administration services under the supervision of the Principal and senior engineers.

Stay abreast of the latest technological advances, building codes, and industry trends.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering
• One year of experience in the job offered or a related position
• Skills and knowledge in AutoCAD, Safe, and Enercalc
• Limited domestic travel to client sites throughout Southern California

$89,440.00 to $92,420.00 per year
