Job Overview
Early career Mechanical Engineer – Radar Antenna Design II section, El Segundo, CA, onsite.
Reports to lead mechanical engineers and supports mechanical engineering throughout the hardware life cycle for airborne radar subsystems, including antenna, receiver, exciter, processor, and power supply.
Security clearance required:
DoD Secret (active immediately).
- Provide technical support on major programs and interface with Lead Mechanical Engineers and Chief Engineers to support design objectives.
- Contribute to project teams through design development, ensuring procedures are followed and program design objectives met.
- Develop unit design concepts from requirements and perform design trades.
- Complete detailed layouts and design documentation using CAD tools.
- Support suppliers fabricating components and assemblies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering groups to meet project deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Experience with ANSI drawing standards.
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances).
- Experience with electronic packaging.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- Proficiency with CREO or similar 3D solid modeling software.
- Positive and curious attitude.
- Strong technical background with high technical aptitude.
- Hands‑on mechanical project experience.
- Current DoD security clearance.
Salary range: 62,900 USD – 119,700 USD. This is a U.S.
-based role; if the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply. Relocation may be offered based on eligibility.
