Job Summary:
Raytheon seeks an individual with experience in Microwave RF design and production support to join the Airborne Radar Electronics Design (ARED) Group. The role involves developing next‑generation Receiver/Exciter technologies and providing production support for airborne radars.
- Perform detailed design, analysis, testing, and trade studies of Microwave RF circuits, RFAs, MICs, IMAs, CCAs, and RF special test equipment.
- Use modelling and simulation tools such as Keysight ADS, National Instruments AWR Microwave Office, Sonnet EM, Ansys HFSS, and CAD tools.
- Design and conduct simulations in linear and EM simulators; develop schematics, layouts, and special test equipment (validation & certification).
- Conduct testing and integration, and provide post‑production technical support through development to production phases.
- Coordinate with test and production engineers, manage production schedules, resolve production issues, and report status to higher management.
- Progress from a design & development role to leading production support as Responsible Engineering Authority (REA).
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Microwave RF circuits.
- Experience in design, analysis, bread‑boarding, troubleshooting, and testing of Microwave RF circuits.
- Proficiency with software tools including Keysight ADS, National Instruments AWR Microwave Office, Sonnet EM, Ansys HFSS, AutoCAD or comparable.
- Experience with lab equipment such as special test equipment, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance post‑start (U.S. citizenship required).
- Experience with system‑level software tools such as Keysight Genesys or System Vue.
- Experience working with MATLAB, ADS, HFSS, Mentor DXDesigner, eXpedition or similar schematic/layout tools.
The salary range for this role is $75,800 to $144,200 USD, with additional incentive compensation programs depending on level and collective‑binding agreement coverage.
