What Your Impact Will Be:
  • Research, monitor, and summarize emerging global, federal, state, and regional laws, regulations, and standards related to chemicals and restricted substances in children's and consumer products (e.g., TSCA, REACH, Prop. 65, and other applicable regulations).
  • Incorporate relevant regulatory requirements into internal procedures and maintain the company's Restricted Substances List (RSL).
  • Review the chemical composition of existing and new materials (SDS/MSDS or Bills of Substances) against internal RSL requirements and provide technical assessments and recommendations.
  • Ensure chemical reporting compliance with applicable federal and state laws.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance chemical management database systems and improve consistency and efficiency in addressing chemical compliance and product safety matters.
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline, with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong interest and/or experience in global chemical regulatory compliance and restricted substances management within the toy, children's products, or broader consumer products industry.
  • Familiarity with global chemical regulations applicable to common consumer-product materials, including polymers, coatings, adhesives, inks, textiles, and packaging materials.
  • Excellent research, analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated passion for protecting consumers and helping create safe, trusted products and experiences.
  • Experience working with regulatory databases, chemical declarations, supplier compliance programs, or product stewardship initiatives is a plus.
