Department:
Communications Software Implementation Department (CSID) within the Mission Payloads Division (MPD) of the Aerospace Corporation.
- Mix of engineering projects related to signal processing, digital communications, and/or machine learning.
- Participates with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners.
- Applies standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks.
- Document work products in briefings and/or technical reports to customers and colleagues.
- Opportunities to propose and carry out internal R&D projects, engage in field work, and publish in conferences and journals.
- Training and mentorship will be provided.

- Interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university program in Electrical Engineering, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related technical discipline (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months)
- 0-1 year of industry work experience
- Relevant academic or prior internship work experience
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
- Strong coding skills in Python or C++
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket) and Linux environments
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance. Transcripts Required.
How You Can Stand Out- Master's or PhD degree from an accredited college/university program in Electrical Engineering, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related technical discipline (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months) GPA 3.5 or higher
- Active security clearance
- Experience with Software Defined Radios and/or GNURadio
- Experience with designing and training machine learning models applied to signal processing and/or communications applications
