Discover opportunities to make a difference theon is seeing a Radio Frequency (RF) / Microwave Production Support Engineer within our Airborne Radar Electronics Design Hardware Engineering directorate.
This role will be an on-site position located in El Segundo, California.
The RF Production Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting troubleshooting of RF/Microwave and Antenna hardware in production, hardware integration, test and validation, and documentation. This opportunity is for a versatile RF/Microwave and Antenna engineer possessing a blend of theoretical analysis, practical application, and hands‑on integration abilities. The successful candidate will be capable of communicating with vendors and presenting technical information to peers and program leadership (customer exposure may occur with support).
WhatYou Will Learn:
Develop hands‑on expertise diagnosing and resolving RF/Microwave and Antenna hardware issues in a fast‑paced production environment, including applying root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action methodologies. Strengthening teamwork and early leadership skills while contributing to the production of next‑generation antenna products.
Qualifications You Must Have:- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
- Coursework or project experience involving antenna theory or RF/microwave component design
- Hands‑on lab experience with standard EE lab equipment (VNAs, power meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMMs, signal generators, etc.)
- Ability to apply basic principles, theories, and concepts within the electrical engineering fields and general knowledge of other related disciplines
- Experience reading technical drawings or electrical schematics
- Demonstrated leadership or teamwork experience in school, internships, or extracurriculars
- Familiarity with scientific programming or automation tools such as Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB
- Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders
- Experience in Root‑Cause Corrective Action Investigations
- Familiarity with engineering requirements or test documentation (coursework acceptable)
- Hardware experience at microwave and millimeter‑wave frequencies
- Ability to travel to support hardware manufacturing locations
