Discover opportunities to make a difference theon is looking for a RF Electrical Engineer who can effectively work with our team of experts within the Airborne Radar Electronics Receiver / Exciter Hardware Design Group in El Segundo, CA.
WhatYou Will Do
- Circuit analysis, circuit simulation, design, documentation, trade assessments for obsolescence resolution, troubleshooting and resolution of hardware performance issues and hardware integration, test and verification.
- Work as part of a team design Special Test Equipment (STE) Hardware and Software Testing Microwave RF circuits, Radio Frequency Assemblies (RFAs), Microwave Integrated Circuits (MICs), Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMAs), Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) & Production support.
- Work as part of a team to analyze hardware specifications to determine hardware requirements.
- Develop solutions to test issues and develop productivity and efficiency enhancements.
- Interact with test technicians, factory facilitators, operations managers, other engineers, Quality Assurance and Reliability personnel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
- Courses taken includes RF and Microwave Circuit Design.
- Electrical Circuit Testing and Troubleshooting:
Experience in testing and diagnosing issues in electrical circuits to ensure optimal performance and functionality. - Laboratory Equipment Proficiency:
Skilled in operating standard electrical engineering lab equipment, including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Power Meters. - Design and Simulation Software:
Proficient in using industry-standard design tools such as Keysight ADS, Sonnet EM, Ansys HFSS, AutoCAD, and comparable platforms for circuit design and electromagnetic simulation. - Programming and Software Development:
Hands-on experience with software tools and programming languages, including C, C++, Lab Windows CVI, and Matlab, for automation, data analysis, and engineering applications.

The salary range for this role is 62900 USD - 119700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
