A leading global alternative investment manager is seeking a Residential Mortgage Transaction Consultant (Associate Level) for a fully remote consulting engagement. This position supports the growing Residential Mortgage platform, with emphasis on land banking and residential construction mortgage loans. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, excels in fast-paced environments, and brings strong experience in real estate finance and residential mortgage operations. Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with internal teams—including Accounting, Operations, and Back Office—to set up new investments and ensure accurate reporting within trade booking systems
- Assist in closing residential mortgage and construction loan fundings, including construction draw requests
- Monitor borrower compliance and manage routine loan transactions in accordance with loan documents
- Provide analytical support, risk management, and operational oversight for daily servicing needs
- Review and reconcile system-generated reports for delinquencies, maturities, call dates, payments, and interest rate changes
- Research and resolve loan-related issues through cross-functional coordination
- Prepare and process collateral releases and manage custodian communications
- Support leadership with special projects and process‑improvement initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years in loan servicing, mortgage operations, or real estate finance
- Hands‑on experience with land deals, residential mortgage transactions, funding processes, and closings
- Demonstrated ability to work with residential and commercial contracts, loan documents, term sheets, and funding schedules
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of real estate finance, investments, accounting, and insurance principles preferred
