Financial Analyst

Position Overview

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Financial Planning & Analysis team to prepare, analyze, and maintain overhead and/or direct budgets for major programs and organizational groups, as well as perform various ad hoc financial analysis. This position serves as a trusted financial advisor to all levels of the CFO Division, providing financial data, trend analysis, and predictive analytics to support the organization.

This position is full-time on site at our campus facility located in El Segundo, CA.

• Perform regular and scheduled analysis of planned, expected, and actual results, providing detailed explanations for variances and anomalies.
• Support development of annual corporate/organizational budgets.
• Perform analytical tasks to verify compliance with budget objectives and recommend required corrective actions.
• Conduct cross‑functional research on budget‑related matters and respond to requests from across the Corporation.
• Communicate budget‑related issues to administrators and managers.
• Leverage knowledge of budgeting process systems and provide assistance to systems users.
• Prepare assignment for proposal pricings.
• Collaborate with budget owners and various functional departments within Enterprise.
• Maintain cost center and WBS reporting structures ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines.
• Respond to ad‑hoc data inquiries and analytical report requests.

Financial Analyst Specialist II

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Three or more years of related experience in budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis.
• Solid knowledge of general accounting principles.

Financial Analyst Specialist III

• Six or more years of related experience in budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis.
• Experience identifying, developing, and leading process improvements.

• Experience in SAP, Fiori, SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau, or other ERP systems.
• Ability to assess risks and opportunities within complex business situations.
• Experience in the Aerospace/Defense sectors and government contracting.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance, issued by the U.S. government.

The grade‑based pay range for this job is $27.84 – $41.76 per hour. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
