Position Overview
Estimating and Pricing Lead – The Boeing Company, Space and Launch – Estimating and Pricing, located in El Segundo, California.
Responsibilities- Leads development of estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program.
- Develops, prepares and validates estimates and prices.
- Evaluates requests for proposal, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals.
- Develops estimating and pricing methods.
- Evaluates and develops cases, performs analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, etc.).
- Incorporates data into and maintains structured systems and coordinates program database requirements.
- Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity requiring high ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
- Develops solutions to unique challenges that may serve as precedent for future decisions.
- Recognized as a job expert within the company and consultant to top management.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- 5+ years of experience in a finance‑related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts, Procurement, or Financial Analysis (PFA).
- 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Active Secret Security Clearance within the past 24 months.
- Experience with government, company, and local policies, procedures, and regulations (e.g., Estimating system manual, FAR, DFAR, TINA, ITAR, export control).
- 5+ years performing cost estimating/pricing function.
- 5+ years building proposals utilizing pricing systems, estimating and pricing tools and processes.
- 5+ years supporting audit, fact‑finding and negotiations.
Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Eligible employees may enroll in health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time away from work. Pay ranges from $127,500 to $172,500 based on experience and qualifications.
Legal & Administrative InformationOptional relocation based on eligibility. U.S. Person requirement for export‑control compliance. Requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance. Not a safety‑sensitive position, no visa sponsorship, shift 1 (United States of America). This position is not contingent upon program award.
