RETS Associates, on behalf of its client, a well-established Multifamily and Industrial investment firm, is seeking a Director of Capital Raising to lead the firm's in-house equity capital raising efforts for industrial and multifamily acquisitions across Southern California and Phoenix. This is a highly visible, externally focused role centered on sourcing, cultivating, and closing relationships with high-net-worth investors and family offices.

The ideal profile is a true relationship-driven "hunter" with strong real estate investment acumen, capable of managing a structured capital raise process while effectively communicating complex investment opportunities to sophisticated investors. The firm has a 15+ year track record and has closed on over 100 deals over its lifespan. This position is ideally based in their El Segundo office, though Orange County is also an option.

Given the firm's investor base is largely concentrated in Los Angeles, the role will require regular in-person meetings, conferences, events, and relationship-building across the LA market.

High Level Responsibilities:

• Lead outbound investor origination efforts targeting high-net-worth individuals, family offices, wealth managers, and select institutional investors.
• Manage the full capital raising process for real estate acquisitions, including investor outreach, presentations, follow-up, diligence coordination, and closing.
• Build and maintain long-term investor relationships by serving as a primary point of contact for deal updates, reporting, and ongoing communication.
• Partner closely with Acquisitions and Asset Management teams to understand investment opportunities and communicate deal strategy, underwriting, and market dynamics effectively to investors.
• Help build and institutionalize the firm's investor relations infrastructure, processes, and reporting capabilities as the platform continues to scale.

Ideal

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of capital markets, investor relations, real estate private equity, or brokerage experience.
• Demonstrated track record of direct capital raising experience is highly preferred. Experience with front-facing investor relations or acquisitions deal sourcing will be considered.
• Deep understanding of CRE finance and investments.
• Exceptional relationship building skills including presentation/communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or similar. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Compensation:
Base salary + incentives on capital raised + future promote
