Acquisition Contracting Specialist

Position Type/Standard
Work Hours:
Full time, 40 hours
Primary Responsibilities:
- Source Selection Support
- Assist the government in executing source selections in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 9.505-4.
- Coordinate functional meeting requests.
- Develop source selection documents, including plans, acquisition strategies, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Review and draft proposal evaluations, ensuring activities are not inherently governmental.
- Contract and Subcontract Management
- Support Government Contracting Officers and contract specialists in various contracting actions, such as:
- Advising on requests for proposals.
- Conducting technical evaluations.
- Participating in contract negotiations, administration, and execution.
- Provide guidance on contracts, offering technical and operational leadership to program and business management teams.
- Advise management on contractual rights, obligations, risk avoidance and mitigation, strategy, and problem-solving.
- Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract Management
- Advise and assist in managing existing IDIQ contracts.
- Develop and execute acquisition strategies for follow-on efforts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Expert in Federal, DoD, Air Force, and SSC contracting processes and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead all aspects of any contract action required by the program office, including but not limited to solicitations, change proposals, funding modifications, and award or incentive fee management.
- Prior PCO or Buyer experience preferred.
- Candidate must be an SME/recognized industry leader. A BA/BS degree is required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not supervise the work of others.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%.
Travel:
Little if any travel is required.
Compensation / Salary Range: $227,000 - $275,000 Annual Salary
