We're seeking a Field Technical Support Specialist to join our Eastern Canada service team. In this role, you'll ensure exceptional customer satisfaction by supporting KARL STORZ medical devices throughout their lifecycle-from installation and preventive maintenance to technical troubleshooting and repair. You'll be the on-site expert for our OR1 integrated operating rooms and endoscopic equipment, working closely with sales teams to promote service excellence across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Perform on-site installation, troubleshooting, calibration, and repairs of KARL STORZ medical devices and OR1 integrated systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and Stay Ready visits to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Support customers via Salesforce service tickets and SAP documentation systems.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Regional Sales Managers to promote service programs and customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical expertise at customer sites, demos, and events.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and expense records.
- Participate in ongoing training at KARL STORZ facilities in North America and Europe.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Medical Physics.
- 3-5 years of technical service experience, ideally in the medical device industry.
- Strong technical aptitude in electronics, mechanics, and networking.
- Proficiency in English and French (required).
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and passport with willingness to travel up to 90% of the time across Eastern Canada (and occasionally abroad).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible hours when needed.
