UI/UX Design, Web Developer
Our Client, a Global Financial Services Firm, is seeking a React Developer in their El Segundo, California location.

OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Lead Developer to join a collaborative Design Ops team focused on building and scaling a modern public-facing web platform. This is a hands-on, lead-level individual contributor role responsible for overseeing front-end source code and design system integrity without people management responsibilities.
You will serve as a steward of the design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and high-quality UI implementation across applications. This role partners closely with design, architecture, and marketing technology teams and plays a key role in the rollout of Adobe tools and the broader web development stack.
Team & Project- Team of 6 developers
- Core initiative:
Build out a new public-facing website - Close collaboration with Design, Marketing Technology, and Architecture
- Own and steward the front-end source code, ensuring quality, consistency, and scalability
- Lead implementation and governance of a reusable design system to prevent UI drift and one-off solutions
- Translate high-fidelity designs into responsive, accessible, production-ready UI
- Build and maintain reusable React components aligned with design system standards
- Collaborate closely with designers using tools such as Figma, Storybook, and Chromatic
- Guide design system adoption across teams through code reviews and best-practice advocacy
- Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployment workflows
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and technical discussions to ensure feasibility and scalability
- 5+ years of professional front-end development experience
- Experience overseeing or stewarding front-end source code in a lead or senior IC capacity
- Proven experience building and maintaining design systems and component libraries
- Strong eye for pixel-perfect UI and design fidelity
- Experience with AWS cloud services
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment workflows
- Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, Type Script, and modern front-end best practices
- Experience with Storybook and Chromatic
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Agency background a plus (financial services experience not required)
- Experience supporting marketing technology stacks and Adobe tool rollouts
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot)
- Experience working on public-facing, high-visibility web platforms
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Highly detail-oriented with strong design sensibility
- Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable partnering with designers, architects, and business stakeholders
