The RoleThe Principal Business Intelligence Analyst provides advanced analytical and strategic reporting support across 23+ brands, partnering closely with executive stakeholders to deliver insights on revenue, margins, and key operational metrics. This role designs and maintains complex BI dashboards, supports data pipelines and governance, and translates multi-source data into actionable recommendations that inform growth, acquisitions, and operational strategy. The Principal BI Analyst serves as a trusted advisor, combining strong business acumen with deep technical expertise to elevate decision-making across the organization.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced BI dashboards and visualizations that surface financial and operational performance across brands
- Lead complex data analysis across multiple systems (e.g., EMR, CRM, Net Suite), translating results into clear, actionable insights for leaders
- Own data validation, auditing, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reporting outputs
- Partner with executives and cross-functional teams to define KPIs, identify root causes, and support strategic initiatives
- Support acquisition diligence and integration by collecting, validating, and analyzing data from acquired operating systems
- Collaborate with offshore BI resources to scale reporting capacity, dashboard maintenance, and routine analytics
- Document data processes, assumptions, and methodologies to support transparency, repeatability, and governance
This is a hybrid position, coming into the El Segundo office 3x per week.
What You Bring To The Table Qualifications- 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data-focused roles supporting financial and operational decision-making
- Proven ability to analyze complex, multi-source datasets and present insights to executive-level stakeholders
- Experience supporting strategic initiatives such as acquisitions, integrations, or enterprise-wide reporting programs
- Strong ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
- Demonstrated ownership mindset with high attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Advanced BI visualization and dashboard development (Power BI or Tableau)
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets
- Data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration expertise
- Advanced Excel and analytical problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
- Strong prioritization and time-management skills in deadline-driven environments
- Strategic thinking with the ability to connect analysis to business outcomes
