We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with expertise in finance systems to lead the successful delivery of technology initiatives across Oracle Fusion
, Workday
, and other key finance applications (such as payroll, accounting, compliance, procurement, and reporting systems). This role will manage supporting initiatives to stabilize a large-scale finance transformation program, drive cross-functional collaboration, and ensure that solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with Mattel’s strategic business objectives.
- Manage and deliver large-scale finance system initiatives, focusing on Oracle Fusion, Workday, Dayforce Payroll and other finance applications.
- Understand the large finance system transformation project to be able to lead supporting, deferred activities to further stabilize system.
- Define project roadmaps, scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with Finance, HR, IT, and external partners.
- Drive system integration and process improvements across finance operations (general ledger, payroll, AP/AR, procurement, compliance, reporting).
- Lead cross-functional teams and ensure alignment between business requirements and system capabilities, bridging finance, payroll, HR, and IT functions.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies, proactively resolving issues to maintain project success.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, and regulatory requirements in finance and payroll systems.
- Build strong partnerships with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure strategic outcomes.
- Promote best practices in project management (Agile, Scrum, or Hybrid models) while fostering continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Leverage reporting and analytics tools (e.g., JIRA dashboards) to track progress, risks, and financial metrics.
- 12+ years of experience in project/program management, with at least 5+ years managing finance systems projects.
- Proven track record in Oracle Fusion, Workday (Payroll/Finance integrations), and other enterprise finance applications.
- Knowledge of Dayforce Payroll implementation and support is a plus.
- Strong understanding of finance processes (GL, payroll, AP, AR, procurement, reporting, and compliance).
- Experience in delivering transformation programs within Corporate Applications for large multinational organizations.
- Excellent executive communication skills to present program objectives, risks, and decisions clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts, manage stakeholders, and drive results in complex, high-pressure environments.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools; certifications such as PMP, Agile Scrum Master, or SAFe are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, or related field;
Master’s degree preferred. - Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets with successful track record of delivery within acceptable variance.
- Familiarity with finance-related SaaS/cloud applications beyond Oracle Fusion and Workday.
- Strong understanding of compliance, audit, and financial control processes.
- Experience managing third-party vendors and system integrators.
- Knowledge of reporting, analytics, and financial automation tools.
- The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
