Responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing data models for different data sources and scenarios.
  • Ingest, validate, and transform internal and external data for accuracy and reliability.
  • Design and develop data solutions using Postgre

    SQL and other RDBMS technologies.
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes with Pentaho, Python or Java.
  • Analyze business needs and design custom data models.
  • Communicate complex technical topics clearly to all audiences.
  • Lead data architecture strategy and engineering decisions.
  • Evaluate new tools, drive POCs, and continuously improve our data capabilities.
  • Create a Data Warehouse based on business requirements.
Qualifications (Must‑Have)
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience with RDBMS databases like Oracle, MSSQL, or Postgre

    SQL.
  • Working knowledge of MPP/distributed systems like HDFS, Vertica, Snowflake, Google BQ, or Hive/Iceberg.
  • 1+ years of experience with ETL tools such as Pentaho, Talend, Informatica, Data Stage, or HOP.
  • SQL expertise—not just experience, but mastery. You can do anything with SQL.
  • Strong Linux expertise—RHEL, CentOS, or Fedora.
  • Experience in both OLAP and OLTP environments.
  • Solid on‑prem experience—beyond just cloud environments.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross‑functional teams (Dev, BI, Finance, Marketing, Sales).
Desired (Nice‑to‑Have)
  • Hands‑on expertise with Spark, including PySpark, Spark

    SQL, and Spark Streaming.
  • Familiarity with data federation tools like Presto or Trino.
  • Background in web analytics or Business Intelligence.
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools like Tableau or Pentaho.
