The Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) II is an individual contributor responsible for classified information systems. The role partners with Cybersecurity Operations, Digital Technology and Engineering to align capabilities across multiple information systems. You will provide strategic guidance to Information System Security Managers, Mission Area Leads, Cybersecurity Officers, and System Integrators to drive technical standards and reduce waste.
What You Will Do- Conduct briefings and presentations for multiple levels of the business
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for designated tools
- Develop, implement, and support technical standards balancing program and mission needs
- Provide strategic direction to drive technological innovation
- Collaborate with architecture teams to design secure compliant technical solutions
- Conduct technical solution evaluations for new technology, gap analysis, and risk evaluations
- Provide expert technical advisement for customer discussions, negotiations, and approval requests
- Ensure efficiencies, cost offsets and savings for competitive advantage
- Provide oversight and leadership of cybersecurity projects and initiatives of cost-benefit and risk management analysis
- Support enterprise and business initiatives to advance technological evolution of programs
- Support the organization’s vision, strategy and goals
- Business travel up to 10% as needed
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience
- Experience in cyber, systems security or network architecture/technology
- Experience understanding and implementing compliance regulations such as NISPOM, DAAPM, JAFAN, ICD, FAA, HIPAA, and other government regulations
- Experience with change management or architectural governance
- Ability to tailor technical discussions to various audiences, create security whitepapers and concept of operations
- Experience with information security COTS applications (e.g., endpoint security, SIEM, vulnerability management)
- Experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, MS Project, JIRA, Azure Dev Ops)
- Experience with SIEM tools
- Understanding of enterprise architectural framework methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, DoDAF)
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker)
- Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMWare, Nutanix)
- Familiarity with cloud architecture, service categories and deployment models
Within six months of hire, you must obtain and maintain a security professional certification commensurate with a DoD 8570.01‑M IAM level III credential (CISSP, CISM, GSLC, or CCISO) if you do not already have this certification.
Compensation and BenefitsSalary range: $118,300 to $224,900 USD.
