We’re hiring Business/Financial Analyst with Full Circle ERP (Aptean) in El Segundo, CA

The Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting a finance and accounting process improvement initiative. This role will partner closely with the accounting team to document current state processes, identify inefficiencies, and translate findings into functional requirements for a development team. The primary focus is on understanding how data is sourced from multiple systems, transformed, and ultimately imported into the ERP as journal entries, with the goal of streamlining and automating these workflows.

Beyond journal entry automation, this role will also identify and support ERP integration opportunities with external systems, such as banking platforms, to reduce manual effort and further streamline financial operations.

• Conduct working sessions with the Accounting team to document current state (as-is) processes end to end.
• Identify manual inefficiencies and opportunities to automate or streamline workflows, with a focus on how data is sourced, transformed, and imported into the ERP as journal entries.
• Identify and document integration opportunities between the ERP and external systems, including banking platforms, to automate manual financial workflows such as wire transfers and check payments.
• Analyze and document file layouts and data requirements for ERP-to-bank payment integrations (e.g. wire and check payment files), working with banking partners and the development team to define and implement automated file exchange.
• Translate process findings into clear, developer‑ready functional requirements for a development team.
• Serve as the liaison between the Accounting team and the development team throughout the requirements and build phases.
• Validate that solutions built align with documented requirements and business expectations.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) for solutions developed as part of this initiative.
• Maintain clear documentation of process flows, data mappings, file layouts, and requirements throughout the engagement.
• Assess and communicate risks, gaps, or open items that require business or IT decision‑making.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the finance process improvement initiative.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst role.
• Demonstrated experience documenting current state business processes and translating them into functional requirements.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems and accounting concepts, including general ledger, journal entries, subledgers, debits, and credits.
• Experience working with data sourced from multiple systems and understanding how it is transformed into a standardized file format.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.

• Experience with Full Circle ERP (Aptean) or similar ERP system is a plus.
• Prior experience supporting accounting process automation or ERP integrations.
• Familiarity with journal entry import file structures (GL codes, subledgers, company codes, debit/credit logic).
• Experience with ERP-to-bank payment integrations or treasury file formats (e.g. wire, ACH, check) is a plus.
• Familiarity with banking portals or payment platforms such as JPMorgan is a plus.
• Apparel wholesale/retail industry experience is a plus.
• Experience collaborating with development teams to deliver solutions.
• Ability to write test plans and test cases that validate developed solutions against documented requirements and support user acceptance testing.
