DevSecOps Software Engineer; Associate​/Experienced

Overview

Dev Sec Ops  Software Engineer (Associate/Experienced) – Ground Software Engineering team, ElSegundo, CA. The role supports the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Satellite Systems Software Engineering organization, providing tools and services for high‑performance satellite/ground systems for U.S. government and commercial customers.

• Install and configure an integrated Dev Sec Ops  software engineering environment.
• Develop, document, and maintain standardized processes, tools, methodologies, and performance metrics to streamline the software engineering lifecycle.
• Support automation, development, monitoring, improvement, and troubleshooting across tooling, testing, integration, deployment, configuration processes, and security controls.
• Provide technical support for the program and ensure compliance with application security, IT, and customer security directives.
• Implement an environment that enables high levels of quality, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Facilitate collaboration with cross‑functional teams to build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure software engineering systems.
• Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulations in the Dev Sec Ops  environment.
• Manage software dependencies, including evaluation, acquisition, licensing, integration, and maintenance.
• Assist software teams and IT with server upgrades/patches, database support, and virtual environment setup; support operating system, infrastructure, and platform hardening.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (interim pre‑start, final post‑start) for U.S. Citizenship.
• 1+ years of experience in software product development, integration, and delivery.
• 1+ years of experience with setting up and maintaining a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
• 1+ years of experience with Ansible, Chef, or other automation/configuration management tools.
• Experience with Dev Sec Ops .

• Level3: 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent education.
• Active Secret clearance or higher.
• Experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a Dev Ops toolchain (e.g., Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory).
• Experience in development frameworks, cloud‑native technologies, container‑based development (Kubernetes), and AWS.
• Experience in an Agile software development environment.
• Maintains a Security+ or equivalent certification.
• Proficient with a variety of software development languages, tools, and techniques.
• Travel up to 10%.
