- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
- Collaborate as a team member in a fast‑paced technological environment.
- Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve basic to moderate scope and complexity technical problems, including integration of hardware and operating systems.
- Execute actions as directed by senior staff and project management.
- Engage in cross‑team collaboration and align with leadership team expectations.
- Manage ESXi, VCenter and Microsoft Windows domains.
- Work with Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals – DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
- Handle hardware RAID, hardware and software encryption, and server management tools.
- Perform data backup and restore using industry best practices.
- Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
- Obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date.
- Support systems operational 24x7, with occasional work beyond standard hours.
- Travel up to 10% per year to other U.S. domestic locations as business needs dictate.
- Work full time onsite (100%).
- University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance required prior to start.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux.
- Experience deploying Windows workstations and migrating end‑user data.
- Experience with cloning techniques.
- Use and guide use of automation tools (e.g., Ansible).
- Experience with operating system concepts and implementations.
- Microsoft Windows Active Directory Services administration and support – user and computer objects, Group Policy.
- Experience with network services related to a Microsoft Windows environment – Domain Controller, DNS, DHCP.
- Experience supporting desktop / workstation hardware.
- Experience with an IT incident/service request system.
The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD – 144,200 USD. This range represents a good‑faith estimate for all experience levels.
