Data Scientist – Space Force
As a Data Scientist at Booz Allen, you are driven by curiosity and inspired by the challenge of uncovering insights from complex, messy data. You will work with IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence tools such as Palantir Foundry to transform structured and unstructured data into actionable intelligence that informs high‑impact, mission‑critical decisions for national security.
Responsibilities• Work alongside engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders to analyse and clean diverse data sets.
• Develop and validate predictive models, quantitative analyses, and visualization dashboards to provide strategic insights.
• Lead the design and deployment of AI/ML solutions, ensuring they meet performance and security requirements.
• Guide teammates and collaborate with clients to understand business questions, translate them into data‑driven solutions, and communicate outcomes effectively.
2+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
2+ years of experience with statistical and general‑purpose programming languages for data analysis
2+ years of experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources
Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualizing targeted data sources
Experience leading the development of solutions to complex programs
Experience building, validating, and deploying AI/ML models
Experience using analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Palantir Foundry
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience with Python
Experience working within Palantir Foundry creating data flows, ontologies, pipelines, and supporting analytics or model integration
Experience with scalable cloud platforms such as Databricks for large‑scale data processing and analytics
Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure) including services such as Sage Maker, S3, EMR, AzureML, or Data Factory
Experience developing algorithms leveraging R, Python, or SQL/No
SQLExperience with distributed data and computing tools (Map Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL)
Experience with visualization packages such as Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2
TS/SCI clearance
Master’s degree in Data Science, AI, or Computer Science
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;
Top Secret clearance is required.
Salary range: $99,000.00 to $ (annualized USD).
