• Deploy and maintain classified IT infrastructures on heterogeneous Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows environments.
• Lead and coordinate the installation and configuration of Red Hat systems.
• Participate in all phases of engineering software installation and support, emphasizing testing, documentation, and acceptance.
• Collaborate with teams and mentor junior Linux administrators.
• Apply knowledge of Windows Server and Linux fundamentals to DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication.
• Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve moderate‑to‑high scope technical problems involving hardware and operating systems.
• Participate and lead technical meetings with program personnel and represent the organization in functional area matters.
• Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures, and other assigned tasks.
• Provision, install, configure, operate, and maintain systems hardware and software related to Linux/Windows infrastructures for classified programs.
• Perform server and storage management (software and hardware), cross‑platform authentication and access management, data backup and restoration, software and license configuration, and workstation support.
• Work with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide required documentation.
• Systems operate 24/7; occasional work beyond standard hours may be required.
• Create and maintain VMware vCenter, vSphere, Linux desktop, Windows desktop (Windows
  10/11), Splunk, and other virtual computing environments.

• University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5years.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD clearance.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, and prior systems administration.
• Experience with server architectures, troubleshooting, and documentation of technical solutions.
• Experience using VMwarev
  
  Center, vSphere, Linux desktops, Windows desktops (Windows
  10/11), Splunk, and other virtual computing methods.

• Active DoD T/S clearance or ability to obtain one.
• DoDD
  8140/8570 certification (CompTIA Security+CE or equivalent) and an operating system certification within six months of start.
• Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, and/or DoD/RMF.
• Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
• Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
• Experience with MicrosoftWSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange.
• High‑performance computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.
• Scripting and automation experience.

The salary range for this role is 118,300

USD–224,900
