Role Overview

Network Operations Section Manager – Senior Manager, Information (M5). Onsite position based in ElSegundo, California. Requires an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

What You Will Do
  • Lead and manage a regional team of more than 20 networking professionals across California, Colorado, and Indiana.
  • Own the overall health and performance of the Local and Wide Area Networks, including any matrixed resources.
  • Develop team capabilities, set clear performance expectations, and enforce operating discipline to meet operational commitments.
  • Drive vision and strategic planning, including the development of operational metrics, technical roadmaps, long‑term budgets, and technical debt management.
  • Establish and execute solutions catalog development and support daily operations to deliver stable, proactive, and secure environments.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with program leaders, customers, cybersecurity, infrastructure, engineering, and other cross‑functional partners.
  • Apply operational discipline across incident, problem, change, configuration, vulnerability, inventory, capacity, and lifecycle management.
  • Guide technical direction, evaluate risks, and collaborate with subject‑matter experts on networking strategy and modernization.
  • Lead organizational change, shifting priorities, and resource constraints while maintaining a high‑performing culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
  • University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 7 years.
  • Advanced certification for Network Operations Specialist (e.g., 8140, CCNP Security, CASP+, CISSP) or for IT Investment/Portfolio Manager.
  • Experience with classified networking concepts and operations, including routing and switching, monitoring, incident and change management, configuration, vulnerability, inventory, and lifecycle management.
  • Proven leadership of technical teams through organizational change and operational challenges.
  • Strong project management experience, including roadmaps, modernization efforts, workload management, and talent development.
  • Active, transferable U.S. government‑issued Top Secret clearance mandatory prior to start.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen; only U.S. citizens are eligible for security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing network teams in classified environments.
  • Strong customer service and written/oral communication skills.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent IT project experience.
  • Knowledge of Industry
    4.0 technologies, Connected Factory initiatives, and cloud‑based environments.
  • Familiarity with network management tools and business continuity/disaster recovery operations.
  • Background in IT, engineering, or program management environments.
  • Knowledge of security requirements and controls in classified environments (DFARS, CMMC, RMF, DAAPM, JSIG).
  • Experience with cybersecurity hardening, compliance, process controls, and risk management.
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels, prioritize competing tasks, and inspire teams.
