Our client, a cosmetic manufacturer specializing in personal care products, is nestled in Southern California and is actively looking to add a Buyer with raw material (liquids) purchasing experience to their team.
Salary: $80 - $90K annually
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9AM – 6PM
Key Job Responsibilities- Full responsibility for managing and maintaining all open purchase orders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, resulting in improved pricing and on‑time deliveries.
- Collaborate with inventory and demand planning team to optimize stock levels, minimize waste, and ensure product availability.
- Forecast needs and supplies while managing inventory levels.
- Assist and manage the procurement budget, tracking expenses and making recommendations for cost control.
- Generate regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, supplier performance, and market trends for senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and identify new cost‑saving opportunities.
- Collect and analyze data to ensure the company is making the best decisions.
- Maintain day‑to‑day purchasing practices.
- Must have 3-4 years of experience as a Buyer, specifically purchasing raw material (liquid) for the cosmetic, personal care, or nutraceutical industry.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Dependable and responsible who can take direction and work with little supervision when required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a similar field preferred, not required.
