Principle Specialist, Material Program Manager

Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to support the Mission Solutions & Payloads portfolio in the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit. This position is responsible for the coordination and execution of all material strategies and plans in support of program execution. The candidate must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management, including supplier management.

Additionally, this position requires an individual who will be able to exert influence on the overall objectives and long‑range goals of the program and the program IPT team. The ideal candidate will ensure cohesive alignment with supply chain and enterprise objectives.

• Manage and execute material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP)
• Provide Supply Chain support for RLPM activities and ensure IPDP compliance with the programs and tailoring when applicable
• Own supplier management activities and performance to include metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
• Support supply chain proposal activities including pricing and bases of estimates
• Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives
• Identify opportunities for small business participation
• Work closely with Engineering, Mission Assurance, and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
• Monitor and proactively act to address performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality and EVM
• Responsible for financial tasks related to material including tracking budgets, targets, initiating & maintaining accurate sales forecasts, short‑range outlooks (SRO), material EACs, sales and operating plans and Annual Operating Plans (AOP)
• Flow down Program Requirements and Supplier Management Best Practices to suppliers which include risk mitigation and subcontract management plans
• Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and/or Project/Program Management
• Experience with MS Office (i.e. Word, Power Point, Excel and Project)
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

• Supply chain experience in the Aerospace or Defense industry
• Experience with design to cost and cost reduction initiative activities
• Earned Value Management (EVM) certification or equivalent
• Experience as a Cost Account Manager
