- Coordinate domestic and last-mile shipments from pickup through delivery, including scheduling pickups, deliveries, and appointments
- Obtain and negotiate carrier rates; assign carriers and monitor capacity for timely service
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, exceptions, and delivery issues
- Communicate shipment status and ETAs to customers and internal teams
- Maintain accurate shipment documentation, including BOLs, PODs, rate confirmations and accessorial charges
- Verify shipment and delivery details before dispatch
- Monitor detention, storage, and other accessorial charges to minimize added costs
- Maintain accurate records and operational reports
- 2+ years in domestic logistics, freight forwarding, trucking, dispatch, or last-mile operations
- Experience with carriers, warehouses, and rate/tracking processes
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and follow‑up skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel); logistics software experience a plus (Cargo Wise preferred)
