Overview

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager, Product Support 2 to join our team supporting the F-35 JSF Program in El Segundo, CA
. This is a full-time, in-office leadership role with nominal travel and potential for international travel. The role supports the F-35 Sustainment Program Office and customer operations in a variety of locations, overseeing and sustaining operations and providing timely, knowledge-based Product Support direction. The position has direct supervisory/management responsibilities for more than one integrated support element, including systems analysis, spares, provisioning, repairs, fleet modifications, technical data, and support equipment.

Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance type is Secret. Travel is up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily leadership, direction and development of the F-35 Sustainment and Supply Support Management team, ensuring training, defined statements of work, and accountability for the quality and timeliness of deliverables to customers.
  • Act as the sustainment integration manager for the assigned F-35 Sustainment portfolio, coordinating with program office, supply chain, spares, repairs and support equipment on proposal inputs, earned value performance/CAM responsibility, technical issues and demand execution.
  • Lead the department in day-to-day support for operation of the functional organization and resolution of critical/urgent program or technical issues or schedule impacts related to support equipment, spares and repairs.
  • Drive integration of requirements, configuration, obsolescence/diminishing material resources, and other program needs, including management and mitigation of issues and risks.
  • Assist with Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) and strategic growth initiatives to grow the sustainment business portfolio.
  • Accountable for department retention, recruiting and hiring.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 9 years of experience in proposal, program integration, supply chain and/or logistics OR a Master’s Degree and 7 years of similar experience.
  • Knowledgeable about programs, sector business processes and technical tools (SAP, MES, PDM, Catia and EVMS).
  • Experience with Microsoft tools (Visio, Excel, Project, MS Teams).
  • Experience as a team lead and/or project experience interfacing with external customers.
  • Experience with earned value processes and procedures.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a business or technical field.
  • Experience in the military aerospace development environment is preferred.
  • F-35 program experience.
  • Proficiency with program tools; SAP, JDL, and Jira.
  • Experience in formal risk and issues management.
  • Advanced proposal experience.
  • Aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Executive writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience in spares, repairs, technical data, and support equipment.
  • Program and portfolio management experience.
  • Prior Cost Account Management (CAM) experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary range:
The posted range is indicative. Northrop Grumman considers multiple factors when determining base salary offers, including scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses. Senior roles may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plans, paid holidays and PTO.
