Position Summary

The Facilities Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing facilities capital projects and asset lifecycle initiatives across the organization’s portfolio. This role integrates project delivery, asset management strategy, capital budgeting, and CPM-based scheduling to ensure facilities systems are maintained, renewed, and improved in alignment with long‑term operational and financial goals. The Facilities Project Manager collaborates with operations, maintenance, finance, and executive leadership to prioritize projects, manage risks, and optimize asset performance throughout the facility lifecycle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Project & Capital Program Management
  • Plan, manage, and deliver facilities projects from initiation through closeout, including renovations, system upgrades, and infrastructure improvements
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and procurement strategies
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor project performance against scope, cost, schedule, and quality metrics
  • Manage change control processes and ensure alignment with organizational objectives
Asset Management & Lifecycle Planning
  • Support development and execution of asset lifecycle replacement plans
  • Utilize condition assessments, maintenance data, and asset registers to prioritize capital improvements
  • Collaborate with facilities operations teams to identify reliability and risk issues
  • Support development of long‑term capital improvement plans and renewal forecasts
  • Integrate asset performance data into project prioritization and funding decisions
Budgeting & Financial Management
  • Develop project budgets and capital forecasts
  • Track expenditures and commitments against approved funding
  • Prepare cost estimates, cash flow projections, and variance analyses
  • Support annual capital planning and multi‑year funding strategies
  • Coordinate with finance teams to ensure compliance with funding and reporting requirements
Scheduling & Project Controls
  • Develop and maintain CPM schedules for facilities projects and capital programs
  • Identify critical path activities, constraints, and schedule risks
  • Perform schedule updates, delay analysis, and recovery planning
  • Support reporting dashboards and performance metrics for leadership review
  • Coordinate schedule integration with operational constraints and facility shutdown windows
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
  • Serve as primary point of contact for project stakeholders
  • Facilitate meetings, briefings, and progress updates
  • Prepare executive summaries, status reports, and decision documents
  • Ensure alignment between facilities operations, maintenance, and capital delivery teams
Education/Experience

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Architecture, or related field
  • 5–10+ years of experience managing facilities or infrastructure projects
  • Experience supporting asset management programs or lifecycle planning initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing project budgets
  • Proficiency in CPM scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of building systems (MEP, structural, life safety, and infrastructure)
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, CCM, or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience in airports, healthcare, higher education, government, or large campus environments
  • Familiarity with CMMS/EAM platforms (Maximo, Archibus, etc.)
  • Experience supporting capital improvement programs or portfolio planning
  • Knowledge of facilities condition assessments and asset risk modeling
