We are seeking a Senior Manager of Procurement who brings strategic rigor, decisive leadership, and exceptional negotiation capability to elevate our global procurement function.

Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Procurement owns and executes the company’s end-to-end procurement strategy across raw materials, packaging, and indirect spend. This leader is responsible for delivering measurable financial impact, strengthening supplier performance, and ensuring supply continuity in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

While responsible for leading and developing a team, the Senior Manager must also remain deeply hands‑on, driving complex negotiations, performing advanced analysis, building data tools, and owning critical initiatives from strategy through execution.

The role requires full departmental ownership and the maturity to operate independently while recognizing when cross-functional collaboration or escalation is necessary to achieve the best business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own procurement strategy, execution, performance, and results across the organization.
  • Define and implement a sourcing roadmap aligned with growth plans, and margin objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team; set high standards for accountability and performance.
  • Provide clear direction, coaching, and succession development.
  • Build a culture of ownership, urgency, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Hands‑On Execution
  • Personally lead critical negotiations, supplier escalations, and cost‑savings initiatives.
  • Directly engage in high‑impact projects.
  • Balance strategic leadership with tactical involvement when the business requires it.
  • Lead high‑stakes negotiations to secure best‑in‑class pricing, payment terms, service levels, and supply assurances.
  • Hold suppliers accountable for OTIF, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Use market intelligence, benchmarks, and competitive dynamics to strengthen negotiating leverage.
  • Develop strategic partnerships while maintaining commercial discipline.
Strategic Sourcing & Operational Excellence
  • Strengthen procurement processes, controls, and documentation.
  • Forecast demand, support inventory strategies, and protect supply continuity.
  • Consistently drive ongoing cost reduction, productivity improvements, and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee sourcing of innovative and sustainable materials aligned with company priorities.
Cross‑Functional Leadership & Influence
  • Partner with R&D, Operations, Finance, Quality, and Sales to ensure sourcing decisions support business goals.
  • Provide leadership with clear financial modeling, risk assessments, and supplier metrics.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on market trends and supply risk.
Cost, Risk & Compliance Management
  • Own the procurement budget and deliver margin improvement.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate supplier and supply chain risks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements.
Data, Systems & Analytical Leadership
  • Promote a data‑driven procurement organization by utilizing Excel, database tools, and reporting platforms to analyze spend, pricing structures, supplier performance, and cost drivers.
  • Guide the development of formulas, dashboards, automation, and reporting that improve decision‑making and visibility.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of databases and analytical resources that enhance forecasting and negotiation readiness.
  • Ensure ERP outputs are validated through sound analytics and business review.
  • Translate data into clear, executive‑level insights and recommendations.
