The Senior Manager, Client Operations (RC Relations) leads the Regional Center Relations function within Client Operations, ensuring continuity and accuracy of Regional Center funding. This role owns authorization-related partnerships with Regional Centers, including proactive reauthorization management, discrepancy resolution, funds recovery, and reconciliation. As the leader of a newly established team, the Senior Manager builds the operating model, develops the team, and establishes the workflows and performance standards needed to prevent service disruptions and protect authorized funding.
Primary Responsibilities- Lead the end-to-end reauthorization process, establishing proactive outreach, tracking, SLAs, and escalation processes to prevent authorization expirations and interruptions in client services.
- Own authorization discrepancy resolution and funds recovery, partnering with Regional Centers, Revenue Cycle Management, and Finance to reconcile issues and recover outstanding funds.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Regional Center service coordinators, fiscal teams, and leadership, serving as the primary operational contact for authorization-related matters.
- Lead, coach, and develop the RC Relations team, establishing priorities, performance expectations, workflows, and accountability while supporting hiring and onboarding.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics, including reauthorization capture, time-to-renewal, discrepancy resolution, and funds recovery, providing regular reporting and insights to Client Operations leadership.
This is a hybrid position, coming into the El Segundo office 3x per week.
Work ScheduleBusiness hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Depending on the position and business needs, employees may be required to work any scheduled shift within these operating hours.
What You Bring to the TableQualifications
- Previous experience working with Regional Centers is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare operations, revenue cycle, authorization management, branch operations, or a related field.
- 4+ years of people management experience, including team development, coaching, and performance management.
- Experience establishing or significantly redesigning a team, operational process, or function strongly preferred.
- Experience working with Regional Centers, government payors, managed care organizations, or similar funding partners strongly preferred.
