Millennium Space Systems is seeking a senior-level Production Scheduler (Level
4) to support manufacturing execution across multiple programs and work centers. This role is accountable for establishing, maintaining, and owning production schedules and ECDs (Estimated/Expected Completion Dates) to ensure on-time delivery of program commitments. The Production Scheduler partners closely with Supply Chain, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Program Management, and other cross-functional teams to align material availability, capacity, and priorities.
This role is part of the Master Production Scheduling function and represents a more senior, salary Level 4 position, requiring demonstrated experience in complex manufacturing scheduling environments, preferably aerospace.
Position Responsibilities:
Own and maintain end-to-end production schedules, including work center schedules, build plans, and key milestonesEstablish, manage, and be accountable for ECDs and schedule commitments across assigned programs and work centersDevelop, baseline, and continuously maintain executable production schedules that reflect material availability, capacity, and labor constraintsMonitor schedule performance, identify risks and delays, and proactively develop recovery plans or schedule alternativesCommunicate schedule status, risks, and impacts clearly to program teams and leadershipCross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Supply Chain to align production schedules with material availability, lead times, and procurement constraintsPartner with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and other functional teams to ensure schedule feasibility and execution alignmentSupport program planning and execution activities across all phases of production, from initial build planning through deliveryProcess Improvement & Continuous Improvement
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks within current scheduling and execution processesRecommend, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance schedule accuracy, execution efficiency, and cross-functional alignmentSupport the transition away from manual or interim tools (e.g., spreadsheets) toward system-based scheduling and execution where applicableContribute to standard work, scheduling best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives within ManufacturingTools & Systems
Develop and manage schedules using advanced scheduling tools such as APS systems, Microsoft Project, or equivalent production scheduling softwareEnsure schedules are properly integrated with enterprise systems (e.g., MRP/ERP) and serve as a reliable source of truth for executionSupport data-driven decision making through accurate schedule analysis and reportingBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
4+ years of professional experience in production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated experience owning and maintaining production schedules and ECDs in a complex, multi-work-center environmentHands-on experience with production or project scheduling tools (APS systems, Microsoft Project, or similar)Working knowledge of MRP/ERP/MES systems and their interaction with production schedulesStrong ability to interface, influence, and collaborate across all levels of the organizationDemonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skillsStrong written and verbal…
