Propulsion Technician B First Shift – Millennium Space Systems

Job Summary
As a Propulsion Subsystem Manufacturing Tech B, you will assist in the assembly and testing of spacecraft propulsion subsystems. This role requires the ability to work first shift and will be 100% onsite at El Segundo, CA.

Position Responsibilities
  • Weld, assemble, install, test, route/terminate and wrap thermistors, heaters, non‑flight thermocouples and heaters on spacecraft assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Checkout and inspect propulsion assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly and test procedures.
  • Operate a wide range of tools including orbital tube welding machines, tack welding machines, drill press, grinders, power and hand tools.
  • Interface closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Procurement, and Shipping personnel on procedural issues involving design, methods, tooling, cost, and other areas involved in the control of product quality.
  • Travel may be required to support operations identified by program being supported.
    Support in areas defined by Millennium Space Systems Leadership as business needs require.
  • Other duties as assigned; these duties will not conflict with other job classifications.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. An interim and/or final U.S. Security Clearance Post‑Start is required.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 6 months’ experience as a technician in aerospace or equivalent industry and/or Trade School training.
  • Available to work shifted or alternate work schedule when required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Mechanically and mathematically inclined.
  • Knowledgeable about various computer operating systems and software.
  • Ability to read schematics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a 100,000 Class clean room.
  • Orbital tube welding experience.
  • Harness assembly and routing experience.
  • Thermal system component installation experience.
Security Clearance & Export Control
  • Must meet Export Control compliance requirements; must be a US Person as defined in 22 C.F.R. 120.15.
  • U.S. Citizenship required for U.S. Security Clearance.
Shift & Compensation

Shift: 1st Shift (first shift).
Labor Grade 15: $22.58 – $33.33 per hour.
