** Job Summary*
* As a Mechanical Technician B, you will assist in the fabrication, assembly, installation, repair, testing, checkout and inspection of mechanical spacecraft assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications, and written assembly, integration and test procedures to complete space flight systems and support equipment. This role requires the ability to work second shift.

* Position Responsibilities:

*
* + Assemble, install, test, checkout and inspect mechanical spacecraft assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications, and written assembly, integration, and test procedures

+ Visually inspect mechanical assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly, integration, and test procedures

+ Capable of operating a wide range of machine tools. Included but not limited to, drill press, grinders, chop saw, power, and hand tools

+ Mixing and application of epoxy materials

+ Preparation and bonding of components to composite structures

+ Support in other mechanical areas defined by Millennium Space Systems Leadership as business needs require

+ Performs incidental related duties as assigned or required

+ This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Security Clearance Post-Start is required.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

** Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements*
* This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

** Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):*
* + High School Diploma or GED

+ 6 months' experience as a technician in aerospace or equivalent high-reliability field

+ Available to work shifted or alternate work schedule when required

+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Mechanically and mathematically inclined

+ Knowledgeable about various computer operating systems and software

+ Ability to read schematics

** Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):*
* + Experience working in a 100,000 Class clean room
