We are seeking a Senoir CNC Machinist with the abilities to manufacture cutting‑edge designs for our turbo machinery development. Our 3D printed nickel‑based materials allow us to push the boundaries of turbo machinery to its upper limits. The Arbor machine shop in El Segundo consists of a Bridgeport, a machine lathe, and a Haas VF3 with 5‑axis capabilities. We will soon be expanding to another full 5‑axis machine.

The ideal candidate is someone with experience in tight tolerance machining and the ability to set up and run 3D printed parts.

• Perform precision set‑ups of various CNC and manual machines on state‑of‑the‑art assets
• Program using Mastercam
• Prioritize daily work to ensure high machine uptime across the shop
• Use a CMM arm for measurements
• Manage cutting tools in CNC machines to ensure that machines have the needed cutting tools loaded and measured before they are called in upcoming programs
• Operate clean‑line equipment, laser part marking, and general part finishing requirements
• Use calibrated devices to ensure hardware leaving the machine shop conforms to and meets print requirements
• Perform CNC machine preventive maintenance on a weekly and monthly basis
• Maintain the shop in terms of chip bins, oils, greases, 5S and general upkeep activities
• Remain flexible in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment and support teammates however possible
• Complete work instructions and test plans to document needed data throughout each process

• Positive attitude and ability to work well on a team
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Read mechanical and engineering drawings and interpret tolerances (including GD&T)
• Read and interpret fluid or electrical schematics
• Skilled with mechanical hand tools
• Knowledge/experience with AN, MS, MP, and Swagelok fluid connections
• Knowledge/experience with cryogenic systems (gaseous and liquid)
• Knowledge/experience working with electrical components and systems
• Proficient computer skills; comfortable with email and the Microsoft Office suite

Base Pay
: $40.00 - $45.00 USD/hour. The base pay is subject to the applicant's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
