Production Planner

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Production Planner in El Segundo, CA for a one-year contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Production Planner will support tooling and aerospace manufacturing operations by planning fabrication, assembly, installation, and production sequences. This role works from blueprints, engineering orders, change notices, and engineering releases to create shop work orders, coordinate processing requirements, track schedules, and support production teams.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience.
• Experience working with aerospace specifications and drawings.
• Microsoft Office experience, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to plan fabrication, assembly, installation, and manufacturing operation sequences.
• Ability to plan detailed operations from blueprints, engineering orders, change notices, and engineering releases.
• Ability to determine tooling needs and recommend required tool design or planning.
• Ability to prepare shop work orders for materials and product processing.
• Ability to coordinate with schedulers to ensure items are processed according to specifications and timing requirements.
• Ability to maintain progress reports, schedules, and related records.
• Strong attention to detail.

• U.S. citizenship required.
• No security clearance required.

• Aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Engineering environment experience.
• Experience with tooling, fabrication planning, assembly planning, production planning, shop work orders, manufacturing documentation, engineering releases, schedule coordination, and aerospace production support.

• Plan production sequences for fabrication, assembly, installation, and related manufacturing operations.
• Review blueprints, engineering orders, change notices, and engineering releases.
• Develop detailed operation plans to guide production workers.
• Identify tooling needs and recommend required tools.
• Prepare shop work orders for materials and product processing.
• Coordinate with schedulers to keep production work aligned with specifications and time requirements.
• Maintain progress reports, schedules, and production records.
• Support tooling department planning activities in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

• Onsite in El Segundo, CA.
• 9x80 A schedule.
• Full-time, 40 hours per week.

• $49.12/hour
